Despite Saturday’s rain nearly 100 runners participated in the annual Shamrock Stroll starting at Harbor Point.
“I think it’s a pretty great turnout considering the weather today,” said Carla Catanzaro, event coordinator for Harbor Point and Building and Land Technology (BLT).
It’s the third year the city of Stamford hosted the free 5K Fun Run and Walk. It’s one many 5k runs the city of Stamford hosts in partnership with Harbor Point and Building and Land Technology to encourage healthier lifestyle choices. Participants started at one of Stamford’s newest development areas, Harbor Point Waterfront.
“The purpose is to bring the community together and to create health awareness and just to get people out and moving and also for them to come and see Harbor Point and the new development,” said Catanzaro.
